Scam offers on WhatsApp
Fake job offers: Scammers may offer you a job with high pay, but they'll usually ask you to pay a fee or provide personal information upfront. Don't fall for it!
Suspicious giveaways: If you see a message promising a free iPhone or other prize in exchange for sharing your personal information, don't click on any links! These scams are designed to steal your data.
Suspicious apps: Never download apps from unknown sources, especially if they're claiming to be from a bank or other financial institution. Scammers may try to trick you into installing malware that can steal your financial information.
Overseas calls: Ignore and block all calls from unknown overseas numbers. WhatsApp has measures to stop these calls, but if you do receive one, don't answer it.
Random links: Be careful about clicking on links in WhatsApp messages, especially from people you don't know. These links may lead to phishing websites or malware that can infect your device.
