Eligibility Criteria for Tatkaal Passport
Applicants who are aged 18 years or above can apply for Tatakaal Passports by submitting the required documents with the application form. However, there are some restrictions under which people cannot apply for a Tatkaal Passport. But also, the final decision will be taken by the jurisdictional passport office, it can either reject your application based on certain conditions.
List of Conditions Under Which a Tatkaal Passport Application Can Reject:
- An Indian citizen who is born outside the country.
- A citizen who has obtained his or her PR through naturalisation or registration.
- Citizens who have been deported from other nations to India.
- Applicants returned to their home country (India) at Government’s expense.
- Applicants from Nagaland and Jammu & Kashmir.
- “Citizens of Naga descent living outside of Nagaland.”
- Adopted children of Indian and international patents
How to Apply for a Tatkaal Passport?
- First, visit Passport Seva’s official website.
- Create your account or register yourself.
- Now login with the created credentials.
- After that a menu will appear asking to issue a new passport or re-issue the old one, you should select the appropriate one.
- Now chose the TatKaal plan given in the menu.
- Finally, download the completed application form.
- “Reach the nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) on the designated date and time with the required documents. Applicants must remember to attach the receipt of the application and other identification proofs.”
