According to the new report released by Henley & Partners, which uses exclusive data from the International Air Transport Authority to rank passports, a Japanese passport provides hassle-free access to 193 countries. Singapore and South Korea follow on the list with a visa-free score of 192.
Meanwhile, an Indian passport allows hassle-free entry to 60 countries, as per the report. Last year, India’s rank was 85.
If you are wondering about the least powerful passport in the world, it is Afghanistan. It ranks 112 on the list and a visa-free score of 27.
Russia holds 50th rank and provides easy access to 119 countries and China is 69th on the list.
"The recovery and reclamation of our travel freedoms, and our innate instinct to move and migrate, will take time," Henley & Partners Chairman Christian Kaelin said in a statement.
The list is determined by the number of countries a passport permits one to travel visa-free as a tourist, which means you will get a visa-on-arrival.
