How to file for COVID-19 advance through UMANG app?
Now, the interested individuals can file the COVID-19 claim through the UMANG app. One has to follow some simple steps to file the claim. They are as follows:
Step 1: In the first place, one has to open the UMANG app
Step 2: One has to select EPFO
Step 3: Then, the person will have to select the option “Request for Advance (COVID-19)”
Step 4: Now, one has to enter the UAN details and click on ‘Get OTP’
Step 5: Next, one has to enter the OTP and click on login. After logging in, the EPFO member will have to enter the last four digits of his or her bank account and select the member ID from the drop-down menu
Step 6: The user will then have to press ‘Click on proceed’
Step 7: The user will have to enter the address and click on ‘Next’
Step 8: Finally, the user will have to upload the cheque image and the account number and name printed on it
Once all the details are entered, the claim will be successfully filed.
Eligibility
Any member of the EPF Scheme, 1952 with UAN and employed in any establishment or factory and covered under EPF and MP Act, 1952, are eligible for the COVID-19 scheme.
