UMANG provides seamless integration with popular customer-centric services like Aadhaar and Digilocker. You can download the app and register using a one-time password (OTP) method. The OTP will be sent to the mobile number registered with the app. A user will have to set a 4-digit numeric MPIN code to protect the account against unauthorised access. Subscribers have to choose two security questions, which can be used to recover your account from the app if you lose access to your account or forget its PIN.
After security questions, users need to fill their personal information, and then it will prompt the user to link their Aadhaar. Users can avail these provident funds (PF) services on Umang. EPFO subscribers can view their passbook; raise a claim for pension withdrawal, part withdrawal, and final settlement.
Users can also track the status of claims already submitted. However, only the passbook facility can be accessed if you don’t link your Aadhaar with your PF account. Umang app does not allow raising transfer requests from one EPF account to your latest EPF account.
Here's how you can check PF details using the app
Step 1: Download the UMANG app on your smartphone and open the app. Locate EPFO and click on it.
Step 2: Click on the 'employee centric service' to proceed further.
Step 3: Under 'employee centric service', there are three options - View passbook, raise the claim and track the claim.
Step 4: Click on the view passbook tab to know your PF balance/details.
Step 5: Enter your active UAN and then click on 'Get OTP'. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Step 6: Enter the OTP and click on 'Login' to proceed. You will be able to view the complete list of all your EPF accounts created during your employment with various employers.
