Minister of State for Human Resource Development (HRD), Communications, Electronics & IT, Sanjay Dhotre, announced via a tweet that Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has permitted Common Service Centres to offer the Aadhaar updation services. "Around 20,000 such common service centres will now be able to offer Aadhaar updation related services to the citizens," Dhorte's tweet stated.
Since start of the lockdown, many people have been tweeting to the official Aadhaar Twitter handle asking how then can update details in their Aadhaar to avail services or to undergo Aadhaar related KYC procedure.
What are Common Service Centres?
Common Service Centres or CSCs are the access points of delivery of essential public utility services, social welfare schemes, healthcare, financial, education etc in the country.
An individual can locate the nearest common service centre by clicking here: https://locator.csccloud.in/ Here, you will have to enter the state you are residing in, district and sub-district details.
Remember while availing Aadhaar-related services at the CSC, you will have to pay Rs 50 for updating your details. The same amount is payable for updating details at the Aadhaar enrolment or updation centres as well.
