In a report by TelecomTalk, the Rs 499 prepaid recharge plan from Vodafone now replaces the previously available Rs 555 plan. The new plan offers users with 1.5GB of daily data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 messages per day. In addition to that, Vodafone
has also bundled a Zee5 subscription which is worth Rs 999 with the recharge plan.

According to the Vodafone website, the new Rs 499 prepaid recharge plan does not exclude IUC calls under its unlimited voice calling offer. The Rs 499 plan gets a validity of 60 to 70 days - depending on which circle the user is present in.
Vodafone Rs 555 recharge plan
The previously available Rs 555 plan has been altered and now the validity has been increased to 77 days instead of the previously available 70 days. The benefits of the plan remain the same which means for Rs 555, customers will be able to get unlimited voice calling, 1.5GB of data every day, and 100 local and national SMS daily.
In other reports, Vodafone will be dropping the 'Idea' in Vodafone-Idea postpaid offerings and will be shifting its users to Vodafone Red. Users will receive extra benefits which include more countries under international roaming packs, and also access to over 3,000 Vodafone stores pan-India.

Vodafone vs Airtel vs Reliance Jio
Airtel also has a Rs 499 plan but features more validity - 84 days. the plan was recently amended and the plan now brings 2GB of daily data, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS messages per day.
Reliance Jio does not have a Rs 499 plan but gets a lower validity Rs 349 plan, and a Rs 555 recharge plan. The Rs 555 plan which is more in line with Vodafone's plan, arrives with 84 days validity, 1.5GB of daily data, 3,000 minutes of voice calling from Jio to non-Jio, unlimited voice calling from Jio to Jio, and 100 SMS messages per day.
