Register Your Mobile Number Now :-
After introducing OTP based ATM cash withdrawal process for more than Rs 10,000, SBI has now issued an advisory for all customers.
In a tweet, SBI has said that every customer must register their mobile number at their nearest SBI branch, if they wish to withdraw more than Rs 10,000 from an SBI ATM.
SBI said, “ATM cash withdrawals now made even safer, with the OTP-based authentication process from #SBI, in effect from 1st January, 2020! Register your mobile number at the nearest SBI branch or ATM to benefit from this service.”
SBI’s OTP Based Cash Withdrawal:
Starting January 1st, 2020, SBI which is India’s largest bank, has initiated an OTP based ATM cash withdrawal process.
- SBI users need to insert debit card in the ATM
- If the amount is more than Rs 10,000, then they will receive an OTP at their registered mobile number, linked with their SBI account
- Once the OTP is received, they need to enter that, along with the debit card ATM Pin.
- Cash will be rendered out
Note:- That this OTP based cash withdrawal won’t work in any other ATM except SBI, and the timing of this OTP based process is between 8AM to 8PM.
