State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest lender, recently issued three strict guidelines for its customers to avoid being duped by fraudsters, either in case of cash transactions or online banking.
‘Share your food with everyone, DON’T SHARE YOUR BANK DETAILS WITH ANYONE’- with this message, the SBI has asked the customers to Stop, Think & Act.
“Stop to think before you act on sharing your financial details with anyone. Protect yourself from fraud by keeping your information private and reporting any communication that requests for it,” stated SBI to its customers.
Three things to do when someone asks you your financial information:
STOP before your share your card number, CVV, Expiry date, OTP, and PIN or download unknown apps from unknown links
THINK about who is asking for it, and why
ACT and report it if you suspect it’s fraud.
