BSNL announced carry forward of unused data for the postpaid users up to 200GB after the end of the month. Now, the company has come up with another attractive gift for both prepaid and postpaid users, if they download ‘My BSNL’ app for the first time.
The postpaid and prepaid BSNL users will be entitled with 1GB of 2G/3G data into their account on top of their existing data balance after they download and sign up with their mobile number. However, this offer is restricted to Android users only and is valid till December 31, as per a report by TelecomTalk. And, the free data can be used within 30 days only after it is credited to your account.
With ‘My BSNL’ app, its users will now be able to check their data usage, check account details, pay broadband and postpaid bills and make mobile recharges. Additionally, the app will also allow its users to find out the 4G hotspots located in the country. The telecom company has partnered with Call2Action Communication to introduce the app for its consumers. The app will let the user receive promotional and advertising content via calls, SMS alerts and notifications.
Mr Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL said, “This is a new business model which will transform the mobile advertising industry. Infomo will help us break into the mobile advertising market segment with a totally different offering to the existing ecosystem. We are starting with a database of over 5 million existing My BSNL users on Android devices.
‘’Infomo will encourage all our customers to download and use the new MyB SNL mobile application. Infomocan helps us improve our ARPU by providing our existing data customers in India with a range of compelling and innovative new services from which they can earn significant rewards’’, he added.
