- Make sure your device is running on the latest KaiOS update

- Find WhatsApp in the JioApps Store
- Open WhatsApp and you will reach a page with a description of the app. Select the option to Install the app
- Once the app is downloaded, you will see an option to "Open" the app on the same page. Another way to open the app is to go back to the app drawer, look for WhatsApp app and select it from there
- Once you open the app, you will see the Terms & Policy page. You will have to "Agree" to them in order to move forward
- Next up, you will be asked to enter your phone number
- Once you enter that, it will verify the number by sending an OTP (One-Time Password)
- This will be followed by the app asking your name and an optional profile photo
- Now you will be taken to the chats page on the app. This will be empty by defualt, if there is no backup with this number
- To start a conversation, tap on "New Chat"
- Select the contact you wish to start the conversation with and you are all set
