Google Chrome arrives on Daydream VR

Google's renowned browser Chrome is now adding VR-ready version for its Daydream VR and Lenovo’s Mirage Solo VR headsets. Google Chrome is now going to be available in virtual reality.

As of the blog post of Google
“We’ve also added a few Daydream-specific features, like “cinema mode” which optimizes web video for the best viewing experience in VR. With Chrome now integrated into Daydream, you can start browsing on your phone, whether it is reading your favorite news article or watching a YouTube video, and easily switch to your headset,”

VR-ready Chrome Browser Features :-

VR-ready Chrome browser will support all the familiar features like voice search, incognito mode, bookmarks and more. Apart from this, Google has also added some features to optimise and enhance the browser’s VR viewing experience. The browser also gets a Cinema-mode for watching videos from the web pages into VR. This is in fact one of the most-awaited feature, considering the fact that Samsung Gear VR has a built-in-web browser and so does Oculus Go VR headset.

Before the arrival of the standalone VR version of Google Chrome, Daydream VR headset had a version of Chrome to view the web pages in VR mode. However, there was a catch -– users had to navigate to a webpage on their phones first and then put it in the VR headset to view them.

The update is now rolling out via Google Play Store. Users who have either Daydream VR or Lenovo Mirage Solo VR headset will get the update soon.
