Apple on Monday has released a press statement announcing that the company has set a new record with the sale of more than 13 million new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models in just three days of the launch. The company has also announced that iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will go on sale in India from October 16.

had sold over 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units during its opening weekend, which was then a record. Both iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus were announced earlier this month, and will be available in four colours: Silver, Gold, Space Grey, and a new Rose Gold Aluminium finish.

The devices went on sale in countries Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK, and the US.
Apple CEO Tim Cook announcing sales said, "Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple's history."
"Customers' feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can't wait to bring iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9."
And, both iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will roll out worldwide to more than 40 additional countries and territories beginning October 9 including Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan, and it will be available in India, Malaysia and Turkey on Friday on October 16.
