The Nintendo 3DS has been around for a while, and if you want to upgrade to new model and wish to make it your primary device, worry not, as you can transfer the games, system settings and data to your new 3DS model easily.
The latest 3DS and New 3DS XL have improved features over their predecessors but Google, Apple, Sony, or Microsoft, Nintendo aren’t easy to share the games or system settings across devices. The transfer of these Games and data are cumbersome, and to get it done, you require a working Internet connection using Wi-Fi, SD or MicroSD cards in both consoles and the two 3DS units.
1. Switch On both the systems
2. Get to the System Settings on both consoles and then to the Other settings.
3. Now, select the System Transfer, to connect the systems to the Internet.
4. Click on the box Transfer Between Nintendo 3DS Systems.
5. Select Send from this System option on the old 3DS that you are transferring data.
6. Select select Receive from a Nintendo 3DS System option on the New 3DS, which you want to move the data.
7. Track the prompts on the devices, while waiting for the transfer to complete. It takes a while for the transfer.
8. The devices will show a prompt to restart the devices. Tap Yes to continue.
9. You need to download the game again from the eShop, if you had a preinstalled game on the new system prior to the transfer.
Once you restart the systems, you can see all the settings and downloaded games on the New 3DS, and disabled on the old one. If you transfer the digital games to the New 3DS, you cannot play them on the old one.
