Blackberry has already confirmed the launch of an Android-powered smartphone dubbed Priv, a couple of weeks back and now the leaked pics of the phone images has revealed the further details we wanted to know.
The new hands-on photos posted today by N4BB, shows that the Blackberry Priv will be powered by an SoC (expected to be six-core Snapdragon 808) with 64-bit processor. The photos also posted by N4BB reveal that the device can shoot 4K video (at 30fps) with its 18 MP rear camera.
Further details include that the BlackBerry-Android handset, which promises to combine the security of BlackBerry devices with Google’s system productivity possibilities sports a 5.5-inch dual-curve display with a sliding, touch-sensitive QWERTY keyboard, likely to be made by Samsung.
Blackberry indicates that the Priv handset will be one of the most secure and safest smartphones out there, which includes a security app dubbed BlackBerry Safeguard that will show your device's security status, and still enjoy all the apps available on Android.
Blackberry Safeguard app will also let you take a look at how other apps will use the information, and set a pattern-based screen lock, scan your device for malicious software, and more.
BlackBerry Priv will be released by the end 2016, and US, Canada will receive the first smartphone. However, there is no word yet on the device’s price but we'll let you know as soon as we find out.
