After the Galaxy S6 Edge+ launch in India previous month for Rs 57,900, Samsung has now sent media invites for the flagship Galaxy Note 5 launch on 7th September in New Delhi. The invite says, “witness the most powerful and dynamic Galaxy yet,” clearly indicating the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 launch.
Samsung unveiled the phablet at its Unpacked event in New York in August. The device looks a bit of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones launched early 2015. The pricing and availability of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 however will be revealed at the event.
Coming to the specifications, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 phablet sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Powered by an Exynos 7422 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM, the smart device comes in 32GB and 64GB internal memory.
The Note5 has similar specifications as the edge+ but without the curved display, and instead it is provided with the S Pen stylus, which has been a staple of the Note series for the multitasking.
With a 16-megapixel f/1.9 rear camera with OIS, 5-megapixel selfie camera, Note 5 is expected to click the best pics. Galaxy Note 5 packs 3,000mAh battery with fast wireless charging support, while the connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB 2.0.
Galaxy Note 5 on software front runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop; TouchWiz UI, which brings the features like live YouTube broadcasting, and quick camera launch to name a few. The phablet is also integrated with fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor.
Galaxy Note 5 has recently been launched in Philippines, and it provides a new set of productivity tools such as SideSync, along with a much refined fifth-generation S Pen capabilities. The Note5 fits in the hand and with the flat and curved shaped screen, it’s easier to use.
