Creating your own Torrent files can make it easy to host large files like movies, games etc and distribute it with others. Here is the guide to create the torrent file and use it to upload whatever you want or to distribute it to people across the world.
1. Download a torrent client foe like utorrent and you can get this small sized file from the official website utorrent.
2. Once you install the file on PC, you will see a “Create New…… ” option under the “file” submenu.
3. Choose the files that you need them to be in the torrent, after arranging them in the folder. If you are having only a single file, you can add it by using either Add File option or by placing the directory address of the file or folder on the Source column. The name of the torrent file will be after your name of the file or folder in it, but you can rename the file.
4. Enter tracker, which looks like URL, but helps you in controlling the transfer of data for your torrent file. You need to enter the tracker owned by that website for publishing the torrent on a torrent website. All the indexing sites however does not allow torrent on a torrent website. So while using a Private Tracker, ensure to tick Private Torrent box.
5. It also allows you to add any additional information, like comments. Unless you understand, don’t bother the piece size from the automatic setting. After finishing up filling all the areas/fields, click create button to create your torrent. You need to fill in the name of your .torrent file, and the address to save the file.
6. Open your Torrent file, and let it ready for seeding. Few of the clients will have the seed mode. If you do not seed your torrent, it will not let users view or download your files.
7. Share the file; If you want to send your torrent file to a friend, you can just send them .torrent file, but if you want to open it up for the public to download, list them on torrent download website. Add or upload the new torrent and fill in the required information on the link in the new site. Register in such sites for carrying the tasks. As the users keep downloading your file, the will gather more site seeders, and after the torrent is stable, you can stop seeding, if you wish for.
