Besides the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Pro and Apple TV, Apple has also launched the iPad Mini 4, the major mini tablet. Though Apple hasn’t made any major design changes to it, the iPad mini 4 however comes with some improved specifications.
The Apple's newest 7-inch flagship tablet is available in 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants priced at Rs 28,900, Rs. 35,900, Rs. 42,900 respectively for the Wi-Fi variant. The Wi-Fi + cellular iPad mini 4 for the 16GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants are priced at Rs. 38,900, Rs. 45,900, and Rs. 52,900 respectively. There’s no word yet on the device’s availability in India, but will be available in three color variants, Space Grey, Gold and Silver.
The Apple iPad Mini 4 sports the A8X processor and not the new A9X processor like in iPad Pro. The 7.9-inch screen device with a resolution of 2,048x1,536 pixels, is equipped with 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.2-megapixel camera on the front and comes with a fingerprint scanner. It is powered by Apple’s A8 64-bit dual-core 1.5GHz processor paired M8 motion coprocessor and features a non-removable Li-Po battery, which us expected to provide 10 hours backup, while the connectivity options include 4G LTE (Wi-Fi + Cellular variant), Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
Apple has initially launched iPad Mini in 2012, after it started feeling heat from the Android tablets, and iPad mini 4 is the successor to the iPad mini 3 which was discontinued. The company has now announced the price cut to iPad mini 2 aka iPad mini with Retina Display in the US. The 16GB Wi-Fi variant originally priced $299 now retails at $269 in Apple's backyard.
The Apple iPad mini 4 Smart Cover by Apple is available in Charcoal Gray, White, Midnight Blue, Red, Stone, Blue, Orange, Pink, Lavender, and Turquoise colors priced Rs. 2,900 in India, and the iPad mini 4 Silicone Case costs Rs. 4,900.
